Zarif says no tyrant will end struggle for justice

30 Oct 2018 - 12:36

IRNA - The Iranian foreign minister referring to Arbaeen rituals, said no tyrant will be able to end the struggle for justice.

“14 centuries ago a tyrant believed he had eradicated Imam Hussein's resistance. Saddam, Al-Qaida & ISIS thought they could end it. Yet today 17M from across the world—w/2M Iranians—are amassing in Karbala,” Mohammad Javad Zarif tweeted on Monday.

“Their message: No tyrant will ever end the struggle for justice,” he added.

The Arbaeen mourning ceremony is one of the largest religious gatherings in the world. It marks the 40 days of mourning after the martyrdom anniversary of the grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), Imam Hussein (AS), the third Imam of the Shia Muslims.

Every year millions of Iranians travel to the holy cities of Iraq to make an Arbaeen pilgrimage. This year Arbaeen falls on October 30.
