MNA – Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mohammad-Reza Modoudi said the value of Iran's non-oil exports have registered a 13 percent growth since March 21, 2018.
He put the country’s non-oil exports value at $31 billion, showing a 13 percent hike as compared to the last year’s corresponding period.
Modoudi maintained that in order to increase its exports volume, the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade has prioritized two approaches, one of them was to increase the production power of companies in a bid to boost exports.
He added that there is only one company in Iran with over $1 billion worth of exports in a year, adding that the Ministry seeks to create capacities to increase the volume of exports by other companies.
Turning to the sanctions imposed by US and its impact on exports, he said that US sanctions aim to increase foreign exchange costs for buying and importing worthless goods, and also to minimize the country’s foreign exchange earnings. He added that the country's exports are being targeted by enemies.
