IRNA – Top Iranian and Azeri border guard commanders on Tuesday signed a cooperation document in the field of border security.
Border Guard Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Brigadier General Qasem Rezaie and Chief of State Border Service of Azerbaijan Republic Colonel General Elchin Isa oglu Guliyev signed the cooperation document.
According the cooperation document, the two countries will boost exchange of information and also elevate cooperation in fighting drug trafficking along the borders.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the 11th meeting of border guard commanders of Iran and Azerbaijan Republic, held in Baku.
