IRNA - Spokesman for the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said that over past 10 months, due to the absence of an American carrier in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, this strategic area witnessed increasing security and calmness with reduced accidents.
Brig. Gen. Ramezan Sharif stated, 'The successful maneuver of the Great Prophet 12 (PBUH) in the Persian Gulf region was a new feature of the Islamic Republic's defense doctrine, using tactics and techniques in combat and offensive operations.'
He added that in the maneuver of the Great Prophet 12 (PBUH), various combinations of tactics, techniques, and scenarios that were tailored to the threats posed by the enemy were practiced by the IRGC Ground Force in the amphibious operations.
Referring to the difference in the maneuver of the Prophet Muhammad 12 (PBUH) compared to other previous exercises and its concurrence with the arrival of the US carrier to the region, he stated, “In the past 10 months due to the absence of an American carrier in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman we witnessed increased security and calmness and reduced incidents in this strategic area.'
