IRNA - An earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter scale rocked Sisakht in southwestern Iranian province of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad on Sunday.
According to the Seismological Center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the tremor occurred at 00:45 hours local time (21:15 GMT) at the depth of 10 km underground.
The epicenter of the quake was located at 51.49 degrees longitude and 30.92 degrees latitude.
No report has so far been released on the likely casualties or damage to property.
Iran sits on major fault lines and is prone to near-daily earthquakes.
