Tasnim – Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said on Saturday that regardless of the enemy’s conspiracies against the country, the IRGC will continue boosting the Islamic Republic’s missile power and supporting the anti-Israeli Resistance Front.
In a statement released on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory, which will be marked with nationwide rallies on Monday, February 11, the IRGC described the upcoming rallies as “celebration of Iran’s national unity and the scene of humiliation of the Great Satan (US) and its evil, wicked and deceitful rulers”.
With its deep awareness of the conditions and requirements for the progress of the Islamic Revolution and the country and through obeying the guidelines and commands of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the IRGC assures that it will continue serving the people and maintain its active role in the country’s progress, the statement read.
The IRGC will also continue its “unstoppable” strategy to develop its missile capabilities to boost the country’s deterrence power and to support the Resistance Front, it added.
Iranian officials have repeatedly underscored that the country will not hesitate to strengthen its military capabilities, including its missile power, which are entirely meant for defense, and that Iran’s defense capabilities will be never subject to negotiations.
On Monday, Iranians plan to attend nationwide rallies marking the 40th anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
The Iranian nation toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime on February 11, 1979, ending the 2,500 years of monarchy in the country.
Every year Iranians mark anniversary of their Islamic Revolution from February 1 to 11, known as the Ten-Day Fajr ceremonies. On February 1, 1979, Imam Khomeini returned home from years of exile in Iraq, Turkey and France.
