IRNA – A large number of Russian cultural and political officials, as well as Moscow-based foreign diplomats participated in a ceremony in the Russian capital on Monday to mark the 40th victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

The ceremony, hosted by Iran’s ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanaei, was held in the Iranian ambassador’s residence in Moscow.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov was among the special guests of the ceremony.

More than 30 Moscow-based ambassadors, Russian military officials, as well as military attachés from different countries attended the ceremony celebrating the Iranian ambassador and their Iranian counterparts.

Representatives of cultural and media institutions as well as different industrial, economic and oil companies were also present at the ceremony.
