Utilizing 113 projects worth $15 billion in IMIDRO

IRNA -Deputy Director of Planning and Empowerment of the Organization Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation (IMIDRO) highlighted 113 projects worth 15 billion dollars since 2001 was put into operation by the end of December this year.

Amir Khorrami Shad on Wednesday added that the result of the implementation of these projects was direct employment of 45,000 people and indirect employment of over 100,000 people in the development of mining and mineral industries by IMIDRO.

He stated, “In the seven years since IMIDRO's founding, the organization succeeded in exploiting $6 billion project, but it was followed by serious challenges, and the process of exploiting and defining development plans decreased.'

According to the official, after the adoption of a fundraising strategy from 2013, a total of $ 4 billion projects have been launched by the organization.

Khorrami Shad went on to say, “The projects being implemented by the organization until 2021 with investments of more than $16 billion, including implementation of 39 projects (20 partnership projects and 19 state projects), and contributed to the development of 38 projects by the private sector companies are operating.

The official referred to attracting the investment of the private sector with the aim of financing and implementing and completing the development plans from the beginning of the first term of President Rouhani and said, “The result of this action has attracted more than 8,500 billion USD.
