IRNA - Iran’s aquatic products have a seen a rise of 40% during past four decades, the country´s agriculture minister says.
“At the beginning of the Revolution, Iran produced 32,000 tons of aquatic products. Over the last 40 years, this production rose to 1.2 million tons showing a 40 percent rise,” said Mahmoud Hojjati, Iran’s Agricultural Jihad Minister on Monday.
Shrimp farms in the southern Hormozgan Province have been expanded as has shrimp production in the area, according to the minister.
