President.ir - President Rouhani said that relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Congo have always been amicable, and that Iran is ready to deepen ties with Congo.

Speaking with the new Ambassador of Congo to Tehran on Saturday while receiving his letter of credence, Dr Hassan Rouhani said, “The Islamic Republic of Iran is determined to cement trade, economic, political, and cultural relations with Congo”.

“We should take advantage of the existing potentials and opportunities to further develop relations between Tehran and Brazzaville,” he said.

The new Ambassador of Congo to Tehran Joseph Okio also presented his letter of credence to President Rouhani and said that relations between the two countries should develop in all fields.
