MNA – Only Iran and Russia are officially invited to Syria by the country’s government, Russian UN Ambassador Vasily Nebenzya told a Saudi newspaper.



“We are present in Syria due to the official invitation of its government to encounter terrorist threats. Iran also has a legal presence, there. All the other present countries in Syria are not invited and have to leave the country,” he said.

He added that Russia will depart from Syria when the country’s government asks for it.
