IRNA - Turkish ambassador to Tehran on Saturday called for improvement of border cooperation between Iran and Turkey.
Tehran and Ankara can resolve their problems in the border regions if the two countries' officials and private sectors engage in dialogue, Derya Ors said.
He made the remarks in a meeting with West Azarbaijan's entrepreneurs.
The envoy referred to the Iranian and Turkish people's cultural commonalities, and said that the two countries have good potentials for development of their mutual cooperation in all fields.
Iran-Turkey relations have always been peaceful. Iran and Turkey are major trade partners. Turkey has an embassy in Tehran, and consulates in Tabriz and Urmia. Iran has its embassy in Ankara, and consulates in Istanbul, Erzurum, and Trabzon.
