Tasnim – Israeli forces demolished the house of Palestinian prisoner Arafat Irfaiya, 19, in the Wadi al-Harya in Hebron, southern occupied West Bank, on predawn Friday, a report said.
Spokesperson of the Israeli army said that its forces demolished two apartments in Hebron (al-Khalil), belonging to Irfaiya’s family, who is allegedly behind the killing of an Israeli settler in Jerusalem (al-Quds) two months ago.
Israeli forces had escorted bulldozers and military vehicles surrounding Irfaiya’s house since late Thursday night.
Ma’an news agency said that clashes erupted between local youths and Israeli forces afterward, during which Israeli soldiers fired tear-gas bombs and stun grenades.
Israel always demolishes family homes of Palestinians, who were allegedly involved in attacking Israelis as part of its collective punishment policy against the Palestinian people.
Rights groups have said that the so-called “collective punishment” by the regime on Palestinian families is a clear violation of international law.
