MNA – Iranian Ambassador to Baghdad Iraj Masjedi highlighted the Islamic Republic’s support to the development of peace and security as well as economic progress in neighboring Iraq.

In a meeting with Iraqi President Barham Salih in Baghdad on Sunday, the Iranian envoy reiterated Tehran’s stance toward the developments in Iraq, especially the need to maintaining peace and stability and reconstructing the parts of the country that have been damaged in the fight against terrorism.

At the meeting, the two sides also discussed issues of mutual interest as well as the latest regional and international developments.
