SHANA – Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh said there had been talks with a number of domestic firms to develop the South Pars Oil Layer (SPOL), however no results have been obtained so far.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the 5th Oil and Power Congress here in Tehran on Tuesday, the official said the congress was among very few private-sector-sponsored events that have continued to exist.
The two-day event began on Tuesday and senior energy officials, including Mr. Zangeneh, attended its opening ceremony.
