Tasnim – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs offered condolences to Pakistan over deaths of scores of people after a passenger plane crashed in a residential area of Karachi.
In a Friday message to Prime Minister of Pakistani Imran Khan, Rouhani expresse? his deep sorrow at the deaths of tens of people on board the plane and in the residential area where the crash happened.
He also offered condolences to the Pakistani nation and government and the bereaved families of the victims.
In a separate statement released earlier in the day, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyed Abbas Mousavi offered sympathy to the Pakistani nation and government, especially the families of the victims of the tragic incident.
At least 92 people have been killed after an Airbus A320 passenger airliner crashed into a residential neighborhood while on approach to the airport in the southern Pakistani city of Karachi on Friday.
There were at least 91 passengers on board the plane, according to an official passenger manifest.
