Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian n behalf of President Raisi has invited the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, o to visit Tehran.
The invitation was presented by Amirabdollahian to Sheikh bin Zayed on Thursday on behalf of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.
Amirabdollahian, on the fourth and last leg of his regional tour, arrived in Abu Dhabi, UAE, early on Thursday.
In his meeting with the UAE president, Amirabdollahian held talks on bilateral relations in consular, cultural, economic and political fields.
The two also discussed initiatives to strengthen regional cooperation within the framework of serving common interests.
Prior to his trip to Abu Dhabi, the Iranian foreign minister visited Qatar, Oman and Kuwait. AmirAbdollahian started his regional tour from Doha on June 20.
At the head of a political delegation, Amirabdollahian had already visited Qatar and Oman, and Kuwait and discussed issues of mutual interest with the officials of the three countries.
During his visit, Iran’s top diplomat is accompanied by a delegation consisting of the foreign minister’s assistants, a member of the Iranian Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Policy and National Security, and the Foreign Ministry’s spokesman, Nasser Kan’ani.
In a post on his Twitter account, Amirabdollahian described the promotion of relations with neighbors as a fundamental pillar of the balanced foreign policy of Tehran.
