The Iran Project - Major General Mohammad Baqeri, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, has commended the recent Palestinian military operation in the occupied territories, stating that it has made the Israeli regime fear its own collapse.
In a message issued on Sunday, Baqeri congratulated the Gaza-based resistance fighters on their successful raid, known as Al-Aqsa Storm, and expressed his belief that Palestinian youth will soon liberate the Al-Aqsa Mosque from Israeli occupation.
Baqeri went on to note that the operation has demonstrated the false power and awe of the Israeli regime, and has proven that efforts to normalize relations with Israel will not delay its decline.
He emphasized that the operation showcased the resistance and perseverance of the Palestinian people, who have achieved a level of capability that enables them to deal strong blows to the Israeli enemy.
Baqeri concluded by saying that the operation was a result of the holy anger planted in the oppressed Palestinian nation by the Israeli enemy.
Operation al-Aqsa Storm, the biggest to be carried out by Palestinian resistance groups against Israel in years, began early morning on Saturday. It has featured heavy rocket barrages and surprise attacks by resistance fighters against Israeli army and settlers in the occupied territories. So far, around 350 Israelis have killed as a result of the military operation and thousands of others have been injured, hundreds of them critically.
