Iran’s Ambassador to Madrid Reza Zabib has submitted his credentials to Spain’s King Felipe VI at a special ceremony in Royal Palace.
According to The Iran Project,“My mission follows the further expansion of cordial and long-lasting ties between the two countries,” Zabib told the King of Spain after presenting his credentials in a ceremony on Friday.
In the ceremony, the Iranian ambassador elaborated on the Islamic Republic's stance on the issue of Palestine and the Zionist regime of Israel’s crimes in Gaza.
He went on to stress that peace in Palestine will be achieved solely if the rights of the Palestinian nation are restored.
King Felipe VI, for his part, hailed Iran’s ancient and rich history while underlining the importance of enhancing the two countries’ historical and friendly relations.
Diplomatic relations between Iran and Spain dates back to over four centuries ago.
