Iran discharges 4,997 imported cars from customs

Iran has cleared 4,997 passenger cars from customs and entered the country during the first 10 months of the Iranian calendar year (starts from March 21, 2023).


According to The Iran Project, the final statistics of the import of all types of passenger cars in the 10 months of this year were 4,997 vehicles with a value of 101 million and 722 thousand dollars, Iran's Customs office reported.

This is while in the first 10 months of last year, 276 cars worth 8 million and 342 thousand dollars were imported into the country.

Previously, the Iranian minister of Industry, Mine and Trade had said 9,176 automobiles had been imported into the country.

After a few years, importing cars was resumed, with a lot of follow-ups, aiming to solve quantitative and qualitative issues, Abbas Aliabdi stated.
