The Iranian police force says it has managed to return six major suspects wanted for economic crimes to Iran through cooperation with Interpol.
According to The Iran Project,Brigadier General Majid Karimi, who leads Iran’s international police department, said on Wednesday that all the six suspects had been hiding in a neighboring country before they were arrested and returned to Iran.
Karimi said the suspects will be prosecuted in Iranian courts for various crimes, including for irregularities in allocation of foreign currency funds, fraud, embezzlement and other forms of financial wrongdoing.
