The Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson has extended congratulations to Pakistan over the successful holding of its recent parliamentary elections.

According to The Iran Project,Felicitating the Pakistani government and nation, Nasser Kanaani stressed that this event shows the strong position of democracy in Pakistan.

The senior Iranian diplomat also wished success for the government and nation of neighboring Pakistan in completing this process and forming the new parliament and government.

General elections were held in Pakistan on 8 February 2024 to elect the members of the 16th National Assembly.
