Iran’s interim Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani says the development of relations with India will have a leading impact on regional peace and stability.

According to The Iran Project, Bagheri Kani made the remarks in a message to Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar published in a post on X on Thursday, offering his "congratulations and good wishes" to him and the people and government of India on their Independence Day.

India marks annually its independence from the United Kingdom on August, 15 1947.

In his message, the interim foreign minister said he is “sure that the developing relationship between I.R. Iran and India plays an important role in the peace, stability and development of our common region.”
