Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi warned the US and the Israeli regime that any assault on Iran’s nuclear facilities will draw a decisive response from Tehran.
According to The Iran Project, In an interview with Sky News in Tehran, Araqchi cautioned the enemies to avoid taking any action against Iran.
Asked about a possible attack by the US and Israel, he said, “We have made it clear that any attack to our nuclear facilities would be faced with an immediate and decisive response.”
He added, “But I don’t think they will do that crazy thing. This is really crazy. And this would turn the whole region into a very bad disaster.”
Araqchi also dismissed US President Donald Trump’s notion that Gaza should be cleansed of Palestinians.
“Palestine cannot be deleted from this region. Palestinians cannot be expelled. So my suggestion is something else. Instead of Palestinians, try to expel Israelis. Take them to Greenland. So they (Americans) can kill two birds with one stone,” the foreign minister stated.
Asked about any plans for a new nuclear deal with Iran, Araqchi said, “The situation is different, and much more difficult than previous time. Lots of things should be done by the other side to buy our confidence.”
On Trump’s willingness to clinch a new agreement with Iran, Araqchi said, “Of course, we haven’t heard anything but the nice word, and this is obviously not enough.”
Asked whether Iran is prepared to give Trump a chance and listen to what he say, he replied, “Yes of course.”
On the possibility of talks with the Trump administration if he “says the right things and approaches with respect”, Araqchi said, “Then we will decide… I’m not telling you that we would reject whatever he says.”
