According to The Iran Project, The statement came following a high-level meeting in Beijing, where officials from the three nations discussed Iran’s nuclear program and broader geopolitical concerns.
During talks in Beijing on Friday, diplomats from China, Russia, and Iran exchanged views on Tehran’s nuclear program and other international issues of common concern.
In a joint statement, they underscored “the necessity of lifting all unlawful, unilateral sanctions.”
The meeting was chaired by China’s Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu and attended by Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.
The discussions took place just days after U.S. President Donald Trump sent a letter to Iran, proposing talks while simultaneously warning of military action if Tehran refused.
