Ankara, Aug 20, IRNA – Iranian Consul General in Istanbul Morteza Mortezaeefar said on Tuesday that the Islamic Republic of Iran is keen on enhanced economic cooperation with Turkey.
Mortezaeefar made the remarks in a meeting with Chairman of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Ibrahim Caklar.

Given cultural commonalities between Iran and Turkey, the ground for expansion of economic cooperation is well prepared, Mortezaeefar said.

Iran and Turkey are determined to augment volume of trade to dlrs 35 billion by the end of 2015, Mortezaeefar said.

He said that the two countries have potentials enough to broaden scope of economic ties to other fields.

Caklar for his part called for expansion of economic cooperation between the two sides and said Istanbul Chamber of Commerce with 340,000 members is the biggest Chamber in the world.

The Islamic Republic of Iran can make use of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce to present its products at international fairs, Caklar said.
