A number of Iranian cinematic productions are scheduled to be showcased at Yari annual film festival that will be held in the Swedish city of Uppsala.
Fereidoun Jeirani’s I am a Mothe, Iranian actor and filmmaker Ali Mosaffa’s The Last Step, Negar Azarbaijani’s drama Facing Mirrors and Adel Yaraqi’s Meeting Leila are some of the films that will represent Iran at the festival.

Iran’s newly screened movies including Hush! Girls Do not Scream by Pouran Derakhshandeh and The Wooden Bridge by Mehdi Karampour are also in the festival’s lineup.

Sponsored by Yari charity organization, the annual festival invites several Iranian actors and actresses to its program during which some Iranian features and short films are also screened.

Iranian actress Pantea Bahram has been selected to be this year’s guest of honor at the festival.

Founded by the Iranian residents of Uppsala in 1998, Yari is a non-profit, independent, democratic and non-political association offering economic and social support to underprivileged children and teenagers living in Iran.

This year’s festival is programmed to take place on September 28 and 29.
