TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An official from the Serbian state television and the Iranian cultural attaché in Belgrade reached agreement on airing Iranian films and series on Serbian TV channels.
The agreement was signed in a meeting between the Iranian diplomat Mahmoud Shaloie and the Serbian TV’s Boyan Berkich.
The Iranian cultural attaché in the meeting elaborated on the nature of the Iranian films and their popularity among the international audiences, saying there are no age limits for watching Iranian films and programs, which is thanks to ethical principles followed in production of such programs.
Shaloie also said that the airing of the Iranian films by Serbian TV stations would mark the opening of a new chapter in the two countries’ cultural relations as the Serbian nation could find another way to get acquainted with the rich culture and traditions of the Iranians.
The films section director of the Serbian TV, Nicolai Popowich, who was also attending the meeting, too, said that it was a pride for him that his country’s television networks had decided to include the Iranian films’ section in their programs’ schedule.
