Tehran, Oct 28, IRNA – First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri voiced Iran’s readiness to cooperate with member states of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation in economic, trade and technological areas.
He made the remarks during his opening address to the 14th International Trade Fair of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) which opened here on Monday.
He said Iran attaches prime importance to expansion of its economic and trade ties with Islamic states and thus is ready to carry out any kind of cooperation with the OIC member states.
The official further expressed hope that promotion of relations with the OIC members could significantly contribute to the economic development of the Islamic countries.
Representatives from over 30 OIC member states are attending the three-day event to display their latest industrial achievements.
A sideline meeting is also to review the role of the OIC member states in global development.
