Beijing, Oct 29, IRNA – Visiting Speaker of the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) Ali Larijani on Tuesday stressed that Iran and China have always enjoyed lasting friendship.

Larijani arrived here earlier in the day on a four-day visit taking place at the official invitation of Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People?s Congress Zhan De Jiang.

Addressing a gathering in a Beijing university, he said Tehran and Beijing play significant role in regional and international developments.

He added the two capitals could play an influential role in resolving the ongoing crisis in Syria as well as other world crises.

During his stay, Larijani is to hold talks with a number of Chinese high-ranking officials and visit several major cities.
