TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Deputy Head of Iran's Civil Defense Organization for Legal Affairs Reza Mohammadi said civil defense bodies are defending the country by increasing the cost of possible war for the enemy.
One of the ways to undermine enemy in civil defense is to increase the costs of aggression for enemies, Mohammadi said on Tuesday.
He warned about growing non-military threats posed by enemies against Iran, and said, “Today more than 80 to 90% of the enemies’ threats are non-military."
Mohammadi said any non-military move aimed at encountering the enemy is called civil defense.
On October 25 a senior official said that Iranian Civil Defense Organization’s preemptive measures in making the country’s nuclear facilities immune to all threats have disappointed the Islamic Republic’s adversaries.
“By designing absolutely safe infrastructures and facilities in Fordo and Isfahan’s UCF (Uranium Conversion Facility), the civil defense (organization) has put a thorn in the side of enemies, namely Israel and the US,” Head of Iran’s Civil Defense Organization General Gholam Reza Jalali said.
General Jalali asserted that Iran’s Civil Defense Organization is capable of countering threats before they would have any effect on the country.
