Tehran, Nov 6, IRNA – French foreign ministry issued a statement about a recent meeting between Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his French counterpart Laurent Fabius in Paris.
The French foreign ministry said in its statement that the Iranian and French foreign ministers in their meeting discussed issues related to Iran-Group 5+1 nuclear talks and the outlook of the upcoming talks between Tehran and G5+1 which is slated to be held in Geneva on Thursday and Friday.
Zarif and Fabius also discussed the Syrian crisis and Fabius assured the Iranian foreign minister that France favors a political solution to the Syrian crisis and the upcoming Geneva II conference should reach an agreement on a transitional government in Syria.
