TEHRAN (FNA)- A suicide bomb attack on the deputy governor of an Afghan province killed one civilian on Sunday, an official said.
"One civilian was killed and four bodyguards were injured" in the attack on the convoy of Mohammad Zahir Wahdat, deputy governor of Balkh, the province's police spokesman Sher Mohammad Durrani spokesman said, Voice of Russia reported.
"The deputy governor escaped the attack unharmed," he said.
The incident happened in Mazar-e-Sharif city, the provincial capital. No grouped had claimed responsibility.
