Rome, Nov 23, IRNA – Iran’s Ambassador to Italy Jahanbakhsh Mozaffari said Italian companies can make successful activities in Iran due to the existance of significant investment opportunities in the country which is also outstanding among regional states.
He made the announcement during a seminar to introduce Iranian economic potentials to the Italian men of business and trade.

During the meeting, members of Iran-Italy joint trade chamber discussed existing potentials for bilateral economic cooperation referring to Iran as a proper place in the region for investment and production.

The meeting was held with the cooperation of Iran’s embassy in Rome on Thursday.

Mozaffari encouraged Italian companies to play more active role in the Iranian markets.

Referring to the recent visit to Italy of the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his meeting with his Italian counterpart Emma Bonino, the Iranian envoy hailed Rome’s positive and constructive stance vis-à-vis Tehran.

Meanwhile, the Italian head of the chamber expressed hope that Tehran-Rome economic ties would boost in future.

He said that Italian companies, particularly those active in oil industries, needed the Iranian market.
