The agreement between Iran and six major world powers over the country’s nuclear energy program has made Israel “more isolated than ever”, a political commentator tells Press TV.
"Israel is admitting that the whole world wanted an agreement with Iran, a deal with Iran. That means Israel is standing up to the whole world. It is standing against the will of the international community," Hamid-Reza Emadi said in an interview with Press TV on Monday.

Emadi noted that the deal shows how Tel Aviv’s “propaganda machine against Iran is not working” and it’s proof to the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear energy program.

Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council -- the US, Britain, Russia, France, and China-- plus Germany, sealed an interim deal in Geneva on Sunday morning to pave the way for the full resolution of the West’s decade-old dispute with Iran over the country’s nuclear energy program.

In exchange for Iran agreeing to limit certain aspects of its nuclear activities, the United States and its allies have agreed to lift some of the existing sanctions and offer access to a portion of the revenue that Tehran has been denied through these sanctions.

Emadi downplayed the impact of US-led sanctions against Iran on the outcome of the Geneva deal, saying “when the sanctions were imposed first ten years ago, Iran had 400 centrifuges. Today, as we speak about, Iran has 19,000 centrifuges.”

On Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described as a "historic mistake,” the deal struck between Iran and the Sextet of world powers over the Islamic Republic’s nuclear energy program that is bad for Israel.

Senior Israeli officials, including Netanyahu, have been hard at work in recent weeks trying to discredit Washington’s strategy with Tehran.
