Japan calls for expansion of economic cooperation with Iran

Bushehr, Nov 25, IRNA -- Japan’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Tehran Koji Haneda said on Monday that expansion of economic cooperation with Iran is among top priorities of the Japanese government.
He made the remarks in a meeting with deputy governor-general of Bushehr province for political affairs.


The ambassador said that Iran has experienced a tough international circumstances but the recent deal is regarded as a significant breakthrough.

This historic and significant agreement between Iran and the western governments can help broaden relations and economic cooperation with other countries including Japan, he said.

The ambassador said that taking into account the new status of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Japan expects to broaden ties and economic cooperation with Iran.
