TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran took over chairmanship of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Council of Foreign Ministers from Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov handed over the chairmanship of ECO Council of Foreign Ministers to Iran for one year term at the meeting in Tehran on Tuesday.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and President Hassan Rouhani delivered speech during the meeting.

 

Azerbaijan was represented by Mammadyarov. Representatives of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Iran attended the meeting of ECO Council of Foreign Ministers hosted by Tehran.
