TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif reiterated that the country is prepared for consultation and talks with Saudi Arabia whenever the neighboring state is ready.
"We are ready for consultation and talks with Saudi officials whenever (our) brothers in Saudi Arabia are ready. We believe that the issue is in favor of the two sides, region and the Islamic World," Zarif said in his Facebook page.
He further added Iran attaches great importance to Persian Gulf neighboring states for Iranian security and development.
"Security and calm in Persian Gulf is a perpetual priority for Iran," he said, "adding Iran as a regional strong country should be pioneer in the path of building-confidence and making Persian Gulf closers to itself."
