Tehran, Dec 9, IRNA -- The president of the Iranian National Football Federation, Ali Kafashian, said on Monday former Argentina captain and coach Diego Armando Maradona will visit Iran to take part in ceremonies to unveil Iranian national team jersey.
Kaffashian said Maradona has been invited to participate in a ceremony ion Tehran adding that other guests have also been invited.
Maradona will probably be in Iran in January 2014 for the purpose in exchange for receiving a sum of 100,000 dollars. He would in turn wear Iranian jersey in support for Iranian team while taking part in a game with Argentine.
Early agreement to that effect has reportedly been reached between Maradona and Iran National Football Federation.
The only point of concern is that Maradona might not take part in the Iran-Argentine game while wearing Iranian national team jersey. If so, the pay will be subtracted from a deal already signed with him.
