TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian Foreign Ministry announced that a Canadian parliamentary group plans to visit the country to discuss issues of mutual interests as well as regional and internationals developments with Iranian officials.
"A delegation from Canada and also parliamentary delegations from other countries plan to visit Iran. We hope that these talks pave the way for better and comprehensive cooperation among countries," Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham told reporters in her weekly press conference on Tuesday.
She also said Head of Christian Democratic Fraction of Germany as well as a parliamentary delegation from Ireland will visit Iran.
The official further added, "We hope that the trip of the Canadian parliamentary delegation to Tehran could create a realistic approach for political decision makers in Canada and make a right picture of Iranian developments for them."
She further expressed the hope that realism and right and constructive developments could be highlighted during the exchange of delegations.
