Iran to unveil its latest indigenous drone with 2,000km range

 Head of Iran's Aviation Industry Organization has announced on Wednesday that the country unveils its latest indigenous designs and achievements in the area of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the near future. 
Referring to different classes of UAVs, Manouchehr Manteghi head of Iran's Aviation Industry Organization (IAIO) said UAVs are divided into three classes: short-range, medium-range, and long-range drones. The third class (long-range) includes drones with a range of about 2000 km capable of flying up to an altitude of 50.000 feet for 20 to 24 hours


Speaking to defense correspondent of Fars News Agency, Manteghi pointed out that we proved our capabilities in the first class, and our designs and achievements in the two other classes will be unveiled in the near future.

Head of Iran's Aviation Industry Organization added that Iran unveils its latest achievements in the area of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the next 2 or 3 years.

In recent years, Iran has made great achievements in its defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in producing essential military equipment and systems.

Elsewhere, he stressed on Iran's high capabilities to produce different classes of choppers as well, and noted that the country is already exporting light, medium and semi-heavy choppers to foreign countries.
