29 Jan 2014 - 21:54

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says existing opportunities must be correctly used in Tehran-Ankara relations.
In a meeting with visiting Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday, Ayatollah Khamenei described the current brotherly and friendly relations between the two countries as unparalleled in recent centuries.
“The extensive capacities of both sides are a suitable ground for the expansion and deepening of relations,” the Leader said.

“The existing opportunities …must be correctly used,” added Ayatollah Khamenei.
Erdogan for his part said “we consider Iran as our second home” and expressed hope that relations between the two countries could expand and serve as an example for the region and the world.

Erdogan described Iran-Turkey high-level cooperation council mechanism as important and said continued bilateral meetings would be held in the future to further expand relations.
