Tehran, Feb 7, IRNA – IAEA Deputy Director General and Head of Department of Safeguards Tero Varjoranta arrived in Tehran on Friday evening to talk with Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO) officials.
IAEO’s Spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi told IRNA that the 3-member delegation of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) arrived in Tehran.
He stressed that the IAEA delegation and officials from IAEO are to start a new round of talks from Saturday February 8, 2014.
Iran and IAEA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on November 11, 2013 to solve six issues. Upon the MoU, IAEA inspectors visited Arak Heavy water installation and Gachin Mine in Bandar Abbas.
The delegation was scheduled to begin their next round of talks on January 21, 2014 to remove the rest of ambiguities about Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, but because of implementation of Geneva agreement it changed to February 8, 2014.
