The head of the Qom Islamic Promotion Organization says the Islamic Republic establishment should work on creating a significant presence on social networking sites.“
If we do not enter Facebook and use its capacity for promotion of the sublime religious and humanitarian values, our enemies will utilize this space,” said Hojjatoleslam Abbas Eskandari.
IRNA reports that Eskandari expressed serious concern about the establishment’s lack of presence on social media sites.
He added: “In order to explore this vital task, we need to expand our number of experts in the field.”
Facebook and Twitter are blocked by government censorship in Iran, and users can only access them using proxies.
