Tehran, March 12, IRNA – Iran-Oman relations are example of good-neighborliness between two countries, visiting Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said on Wednesday.
He made the remarks in a meeting with Oman’s King Sultan Qaboos.
The Iranian president and the king of Oman stressed development of relations between the two countries in all fields including energy, shipping, customs affairs, financial issues, environment , tourism and maintaining Hormuz Strait security.
The two leaders noted that regional tensions could be resolved through dialogue among regional countries.
The visiting Iranian president was officially welcomed by Sultan Qaboos upon arrival at Al Alam Palace here on Wednesday.
The Iranian and Omani leaders started their official talks this morning.
Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, Central Bank of Iran Governor Valiollah Seif, Managing Director of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) Mohammad Khodadi and several other senior officials are accompanying President Rouhani in his two-day official visit to Oman.
Sultan Qaboos, heading a high-ranking delegation, visited Iran in mid-September.
