Iran?s Constitution against gender discrimination, MP

New York, March 13, IRNA – A female parliamentarian of the Iranian Majlis said the country’s Constitution is based on divine rules which are against gender discrimination.
Laleh Eftekhari made the remarks while saddressing the 58th session of the Commission on the Status of Women started in New York since March 10.

She noted the world should focus on the issue of gender equality which would lead to promotion of humans status and spred of justice.

The Iranian delegation headed by Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs Shahindokht Molaverdi departed for Tehran on Wednesday night.

Molaverdi was accompanied by two female members of the Iranian parliament (Majlis) Halimeh Aali and Laleh Eftekhari.
