Sepahan wins, Tractorsazi held in AFC Champions League

Iran’s Sepahan defeated Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia in the AFC Champions League (ACL). Elsewhere, Tractor Sazi played out a goalless draw against Lekhwia in Doha.
Sepahan defeated Al Hilal 3-2 in Isfahan’s Fooladshahr Stadium.

In the match of Group D, Ervin Bulku gave a lead to the Isfahan-based team after 17 minutes into the match.

Brazilian Segundo Castillo equalized the match in the 28th minute. Five minutes later, Ecuadorian Thiago Neves scored for the visiting team.

Sepahan striker Mehdi Sharifi found the back of the net with a long-range shot in the 72nd minute.

Sepahan captain Hadi Aghili missed a penalty in the 79th minute.

In the dying moments of the match, Xhevahir Sukaj scored for Sepahan.

Sepahan had lost to Al Sadd 3-1 in its first match.

In Doha’s Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium, Tractor Sazi shared the points in a 0-0 draw with Lekhwia in Group C.

Lekhwia striker Sebastian Soria missed a penalty in the 17th minute.

With two minutes remaining, Tractor Sazi defender Mohammad Nosrati was sent off after receiving his second yellow card.
