Moscow, March 13, IRNA – Oil Minister Bijan Namdar-Zanganeh arrived in Moscow late Thursday at the head of a delegation to hold talks with Russian officials.
During his daylong visit to Russia, he is scheduled to confer with Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak and Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov.
He will also discuss ways of deepening and promoting mutual economic cooperation with senior Russian officials.
Sharing views about Iran-Russia joint cooperation commission and striving for better implementation of agreements related to the commission are among other objectives of the Iranian minister?s trip to Moscow.
Zanganeh and Noval will cochair Iran-Russian Joint Cooperation Commission.
Attempts to promote economic cooperation with Iran, especially in the field of building new nuclear units in Bushehr power plant, are among Russia?s programs in order not to fall behind its western rivals in Iran?s lucrative market.
