Nasim—Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif described the new round of talks with sextet powers as “Important and tough,” saying that Iran has held its “end of the bargain” and calling on the other side to “keep theirs.”
In a message in his twitter account on Tuesday, Foreign Minister Zarif said: “Important and tough discussions ahead today. We have held our end of the bargain. Time for our counterparts to keep theirs.”
He is scheduled to meet EU High Representative Catharine Ashton ahead of the beginning of formal discussions at 8: 30 (Vienna Local time) and also has a meeting with Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna, Yury Fedotov, at 10:00 AM.
Iran and the P5+1 group are set to start their talks, which are part of efforts to reach a final agreement to fully resolve the decade-old Western dispute over Tehran’s nuclear energy program, in Vienna, on Tuesday. The negotiations are slated to last until Wednesday.
