Tehran, March 18, IRNA – Saudi Ambassador in Tehran Abdur-Rahman bin Gharman al-Shahri said on Tuesday that the Saudi government has doubled visas for Iranian Omrah Hajj pilgrims in Norouz vacations.
In a statement, a copy of which was faxed to IRNA, al-Shahri said since February 27, marking start of the Omrah Hajj pilgrimage, the Saudi Embassy has issued visas for 159,961 Iranians.
He predicted that number of visas issued for the pilgrims will reach 6,000 a day from the average of 3,000 in the next few days on the occasion of Norouz vacations.
